Airtel will offer 1500 minutes of talk-time, 600 SMSes and 3GB of data for a cost of Rs.1,000 per month to iPhone 4S users
In the past, mobile carriers who have offered the iPhone have bundled it with tariff plans that could be called highway robbery. Honestly, it was almost like they were saying, “Hey, if you can afford an iPhone, you can also afford to pay a crazy amount of money per month to use it.”
But Airtel’s new tariff plans for the iPhone 4S are absolutely spot-on and offer great value for money. Not only are they discounted, but they actually are quite customisable to your needs.
The costliest plan will set you back by Rs. 1,000 per month (discounted 50% from the initial Rs. 2,000 price) and give the user 1500 minutes of local calling, 600 SMSes and 3GB of 3G data usage. Over the course of two years, that’s a saving of Rs. 24,000 for a tariff plan that really makes a lot of sense. There are also other plans available, starting from Rs. 300 of monthly rental.
Given that you are going to be spending upwards of Rs. 44,000 to grab an iPhone 4S in India, we think it’s only fair that carriers offer such tariff plans to help you make the most of it without burning a hole in your pockets.
